Happy Pi Day!

How are you celebrating?

Wait, what?!

You didn’t know it was Pi Day?! You just thought it was FRIday? (also a day worth celebrating!!)

How could you NOT know it’s Pi Day? It’s March 14th, after all.

3/14

Pi (remember this from math all those years ago?) is 3.14. (okay, it’s actually 3.14159265359 but who’s counting? Besides mathematicians, that is.)

Anyway, get it? 3/14.  3.14.  See? #nerdalert

Aw hell, it’s a great excuse to eat PIE!

Here’s the recipe I used for my cute little pies – Mini Pumpkin Pie.

I’ll be honest. Make sure the butter is room temperature.

That shortbread crust is delicious but it is also a wee bit whole bunch of temperamental. And sticky. Let’s go back to DELICIOUS. Om nom nom!

There are a TON of great ideas out there to celebrate this day – and, no, you don’t have to be a math geek or a nerd to participate! 🙂

Talk to me: What’s your favorite kind of pie? Do you prefer sweet or savory? Is pumpkin a fruit or a vegetable?
