I got nerves – they’re multiplying!

T-minus 2 days!!

I’m not stressed at all. Nope. Not even a little.

And, if you believe that, I’ve got some ocean-front property in Arizona you might be interested in purchasing. 😉

Got my last taper run done this morning.

Yeah, that was me trying to go slow.  Didn’t work out the way I had planned.  Still, it felt good to stretch out my legs. 🙂

So, apparently, the kitties got wind of my impending departure and are putting their paws down.

Ginny says, “NO!”

I’m pretty sure I have everything I need.

I made a list and checked it twice.

I think I’m ready.

Well, clothing and gear wise.

I’m a little nervous about the race.

The move really put a kink in my training schedule.

I’m trying not to worry about it.

Oh, and I suck at trying to not worry about things.

But, I have a back-up plan.

My plan is to have fun. That sounds like a good plan, doesn’t it? 🙂

Talk to me: Do you make lists? Do you get stressed before a race?

Nancy with burpees? Gotta be a Monday! :)

Happy Monday!

You know, it’s really difficult to get back to a normal routine after a mini-vacation.

Thank goodness for coffee! In my awesome new coffee mug! 🙂

Navy Mom – that’s right!

That’s not the only awesome thing I got while we were in Great Lakes.

I look pretty awake for 5 a.m. on a Monday!

Rocked my new Navy workout top this morning at Crossfit!

And yes, I went for the patriotic headband accompaniment. 🙂

I knew we were going to be in for a tough workout this morning, too. The 2013 Crossfit Games were held this past weekend (actually, Thursday through Sunday) out in California and some amazing athletes did some amazing things. Seriously. ESPN2 is going to be re-airing the games tonight and I can’t wait to watch what I missed!

Anyway, I was right about a tough workout being on the board.

I think my shadow really makes this picture. 🙂

Ah, Nancy.  With burpees.  Because she’s not hard enough on her own. *sigh*

I’m happy to say that the only thing I didn’t Rx on this WOD was the overhead squats.  That means I ran the 400s!   Woot!

Of course, I was moving slowly but I ran them. 🙂

My overhead squats were with the 35# bar.  One day I’ll get up to 65#.  One day.

Then, because we weren’t all disgusting and sucking wind (oh, maybe that was just me), we did 75 weighted butterfly sit ups.  As a cool down.  You know.  For fun!

I love Mondays.

Questions:  Coffee – black or with cream and sugar?  If you weren’t able to catch the Games, will you be tuning in tonight?  ESPN2 at 8 p.m. PDT.

A traveling circuit &an airport hangout

Hello! Happy Saturday!

You know I had to pack my running gear so I could get a workout in while we were in Great Lakes for boot camp graduation. I considered sleeping in but convinced myself to get out of bed. So glad I did!

I warmed up and created my own circuit. I’m not sure how far I ran since I didn’t bring my Garmin but I was out for 30 minutes. I kept it slow and easy because I’m still recovering from my injury. I essentially did 2 rounds of run/3 strict pull ups/run/10 push ups/run/15 air squats. It was fabulous!

It was about 60 degrees this morning which, in my book, is perfect for working out! It was bliss because you KNOW I’m not going to have that when we get back to Florida.

Then, we went to a cool diner for breakfast.

Thing 1’s flight out was from Midway airport so we trekked down there to hang out for a bit.

But, it was totally worth it!

Best. Sandwich. Joint. Ever!

And, there isn’t one less than a day’s drive from where we live. We really need one. I should really work on that.

Of course, we had to have a treat. 🙂

She looks good, doesn’t she?

Questions: Do you workout when you travel? Is there a Potbelly’s near you? What’s your favorite Ben & Jerry’s flavor?
